The album's title, "Behind The Sound Machine," is not a lofty metaphor: this music was recorded in the bathroom of my apartment while my 1-year-old son was sleeping. If you hear a gentle background hiss, that is his sound machine coming in from the other side of the door. The music is mostly solo guitar, with some double-tracked guitars and effects on the intro and outro. It falls somewhere in the realm of American Primitivism, folk, guitar soli, etc.

If you find the world to be a noisy place, and this music provides some comfort, then maybe the title can be a metaphor for you. I hope you enjoy.
